The Fisheye Film festival is part of the Walter Anderson Museum of Art’s partnership with National Geographic through the Slingshot Challenge Program.

That program provides local students the opportunity to voice their concerns for the environment through video.

Showings today of short films and feature films were held at the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Arts Center.

WAMA Studio Artist and Program Coordinator James Karlson said sometimes adults can take notes from the kids.

“It’s important because the issues that adults find worthy to speak about are the same issues that our generations below us also care about,“ Karlson said. ”It’s this full circle moment for everybody to pay attention about what’s going on as it relates to environmental issues. Hopefully we can all come under one roof and be able to tackle these together."
