JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -

Storms will clear out early Wednesday morning, though a few lingering showers are possible through the morning hours. The rest of Wednesday looks dry with improving conditions throughout the day. Highs in the 70s.

High pressure will build in and keep Mississippi dry through the weekend and into early next week. However, it will turn noticeably cooler. Overnight lows will drop into the 30s and 40s from Friday night onward, with frost likely during calm, clear nights Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. Daytime highs Saturday through Monday will reach only the mid to upper 60s or near 70 degrees—well below normal for this time of year.

This is typical late fall weather for Mississippi, and the growing season has already ended.

Unfortunately, the next chance for rain may be beyond the next 10 days.
