JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The City of Jackson held a press conference to discuss the management changes at the Jackson Zoo.

Beth Poff, executive director of the Jackson Zoo, resigned her position days after she was placed administrative leave by the zoo board.

Friday, August 3, the City of Jackson agreed to give them $200,000 to make it over the next two months.

She later admitted to misusing bond money for day-to-day operations of the Zoo.

The same day Poff submitted her letter of resignation, the new interim director received a letter from the Department of Finance and Administration.

The letter, addressed to Dave Wetzel, orders the Zoo to repay the $350K in misappropriated funds by November 16, 2018.
