JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Jackson woman, Joyce Adams, was reunited with her dog that had been missing for two weeks.

Daisy is a 7-month-old husky mix and was given to Adams by a friend when she was a puppy.

June 20th, Daisy escaped from her yard and got lost.

Adams immediately began calling local shelters and posting online to find her baby. "I was hoping and praying someone would find her" Adams said.

She messaged Jackson Friends of the Shelter on Facebook and sent them a photo of her missing dog.

On July 3rd, the shelter called Joyce and said they had good news! Daisy had been picked up by Jackson animal control and taken to the shelter.

Joyce, a long time teacher at Hinds Community College, immediately left work when she got the call and drove to the shelter to be reunited with her fur baby.

"I am so grateful to Jackson Friends of the Shelter for being with me through this journey and for helping me and my baby to be reunited."

The reunion was caught on camera and it will surely make you smile.

Jackson Friends of the Shelter advises when your pet goes missing, the best way to find them is to take a photo of your dog in person to the local shelters and walk through the kennels to look with a shelter worker.
