RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) - Three people have been arrested by U.S. Marshals after a Rankin County home invasion.

On January 26 around 2:00 a.m., the Rankin County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from Flowood Merit Health Hospital that a 61-year-old man had arrived at the emergency room with multiple gunshot wounds to the legs.

Deputies were dispatched to the emergency room as well as the victim's home.

The victim said that he was at his home in bed when he heard a noise at the front door. He went to the door and was met by a man wearing a ski mask. The man entered the home and demanded money from the victim.

The victim said he heard the voices of two other men speaking.

The victim was then struck in the head with a pistol by the suspect. The victim was forced to open a gun safe where he keeps his weapons.

During the robbery, the victim was shot multiple times in the lower extremities.

Approximately 30 weapons were taken.

The victim said he made his way outside and was able to climb into his vehicle and drive himself to the hospital after the suspects left.

During the initial investigation, deputies developed evidence that the victim was known to at least one of the suspects, identified as Lisa Michelle Courtney.

During the investigation, deputies were able to collect evidence to show that Ulylesses Demonte Deer and Gregory Kurt Humphrey were a part of the home invasion and assault.

Warrants were issued for all three suspects.

Humphrey was arrested on February 1 by the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force in Jackson and was transported to the Rankin County Jail and charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Deer and Courtney were arrested Tuesday by the U.S. Marshals Task Force in New Orleans.

They will be detained there until they are extradited back to Rankin County to face charges of armed robbery, kidnapping and aggravated assault.

There are leads on several of the weapons that were stolen and have authorities have recovered one weapon from the McComb area.

Rankin County District Attorney Michael Guest will bring all three suspects before Rankin County Court Judge Kent McDaniel for an initial appearances.

Additional arrests are expected in this case.
