JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) - A man charged with ordering pizzas to an abandoned house and robbing the delivery man, appeared in court on Monday.

19-year-old Timothy Lewis appeared for his preliminary hearing in Hinds County court.

He was initially charged with 2 counts of armed robbery. Judge Melvin Priester dropped the second charge of armed robbery of a business and denied Lewis bond.

Police say Lewis ordered Domino's pizza and had it delivered to the address of an abandoned house sometime in May.

When the pizza man got there, Lewis and his accomplice pointed a gun at the driver and robbed him of $14, plus the pizzas. On May 11, the second time Lewis attempted the same crime, the police were waiting and he was arrested.
