Robbery victim shot in neck, suspect arrested

FORREST COUNTY (Mississippi News Now) - A Forrest county man was shot in the neck during an armed robbery, and now a man sits behind bars accused in the crime.
Forrest County Sheriff's Office Investigator Nick Calico said 40-year-old Kenyatta Stokes of Hattiesburg is charged with robbery and aggravated assault.
The victim, a 26-year-old man, was reportedly inside a vehicle with Stokes when he was robbed and shot.
It happened Friday night at the Shell Station on Highway 49 and Pep's Point Road.
Stokes is being held without bond.
Calico said other arrests are possible.
