Reality pawn star greets fans in Pearl

PEARL, MS (Mississippi News Now) - A reality pawn star brokers a deal for Jackson area fans Saturday.

Seth Gold signed autographs and took pictures with fans at USA Pawn and Jewelry in Pearl.

Gold is one of the stars in Tru TV's reality show "Hardcore Pawn."

He helps operate American Jewelry and Loan in Detroit, Michigan with his father and sister.

Fans crowded around the counter and waited in line for an opportunity to meet Gold.

The reality star says he likes traveling and meeting fans of the show.

"It's a great opportunity for local places, especially this pawn shop, you know to get some traffic. That's what it's about. It's about, you know, interacting with our fans, having people do something that they normally wouldn't do in a day to day operation, and you know what? It's a good opportunity involved," said Gold.

This is the first time USA Pawn has hosted a reality star.

It was also Gold's first visit to Mississippi.
