COPIAH COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) - Copiah County firefighters battle exploding paint cans during a house fire Friday morning.

A sheriff's investigator tells WLBT several small explosions were heard when the home at 4130 Highway 547 caught on fire.

The homeowner told deputies there were a number of paint and aerosol cans inside the house, possibly creating the explosions.

No one was home when the fire broke out about 10:30 a.m. and no injuries were reported.

The house is considered a total loss.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
