JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) - Jackson State may have found a replacement for quarterback Casey Therriault.
Former Louisville High School standout and Ole Miss signee Clayton Moore is enrolled at JSU and is a member of the team.
Moore ran into trouble at Louisville High School when he got into a sideline altercation with his head coach, resulting in the Rebels pulling their offer.
He ended up as a walk-on at Ole Miss.
He transferred to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in 2010 and threw for 2,395 yards and 23 touchdowns.
He transferred to Akron in 2011 and started for the Zips.
Moore passed for 1,655 yards and nine touchdowns for Akron, but the team finished 1-11 in 2011.
He is expected to compete for the starting job at JSU.
He has two years of eligibility remaining.
