Noah, the Flood and the Ark is one of the Bible's most dramatic stories.  As children we visualized animals lining up two by two waiting to take their turn and enter the Ark.  Noah counted each to make sure none was lost.  For generations the drama of the Noah's story has been the inspiration for countless paintings, songs and this wonderful opera.

British composer, Benjamin Britten, wrote Noye's Fludde to be performed both by children and professional singers. Mississippi Opera's presentation includes a 50 voice children's chorus singing with professionals including our own Lester Senter .

The children not only sing, they are also puppeteers, animating the exciting animal puppets designed and constructed by Manju Shandler, one of the Designers of the puppets used in the Broadway production of Lion King.

Noye's Fludde is presented in an unusual venue for Mississippi Opera but the perfect location for a dramatic rendition of Noah's Flood, please join us at Northminster Baptist Church.
