Georgia joined the WALB News Team in January 2020 as a multimedia journalist. Georgia was born and raised in metro Atlanta. Georgia graduated from The University of West Georgia in Carrollton in May 2019. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in convergence journalism and minor in marketing. While at UWG, Georgia served as a multimedia journalist and news director of both her college radio and television station. She co-hosted her own radio talk show, “The Power Hour.” Before making her television debut at WALB News 10, Georgia worked as a news trainee and writer for Fox 5 Atlanta. While at Fox, Georgia interviewed Atlanta-based superstar Chris Tucker during a community giveback event. Georgia also spoke with Civil Rights Activist John Lewis. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Her passion for reporting began in elementary school where she did the morning announcements and watching the Atlanta Falcons sideline reporters with her family on Sundays. Georgia is excited to learn your story and soar to new heights of life.
