Briseida Holguin joined the WMC Action News 5 team in April 2020 as a multimedia journalist.

She is new to the Mid-South and hopes to explore the many wonders of this region.

Briseida comes from the Pacific Northwest, she was a bilingual multimedia journalist and fill-in anchor for NBC Right Now and Telemundo Yakima Tri-Cities in Yakima, Washington. During her time there she covered a number of topics such as: education, local politics, agriculture, severe weather and much more.

Before moving to Washington state Briseida was a traffic producer/news assistant for ABC7 in Los Angeles, California.

Briseida is originally from Los Angeles, CA. She graduated from California State University Northridge with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Spanish Language Journalism.

In her free time, Briseida likes to be outdoors, travel (mainly to beach destinations), try out new restaurant and bars. Feel free to reach out to her on social media with any suggestions.
