Nearly everyone fell below freezing before the sun came up this morning, leading to frost in many places across central MS. Give yourself a little extra time to thaw the windshield out before you get going this morning. Some patchy fog is also possible as you head out on the roads. This afternoon will be pleasant and mostly sunny with highs in the low 60s and calm winds.

Starting off this Wednesday with temperatures in the mid and upper 30s. Today will be nice but breezy with highs in the mid 50s and gusts up to 20mph thanks to a cold front that moved through overnight.

Rainy and windy conditions early on for our Friday, but this will all diminish as we get into the later parts of the morning. Mostly dry this afternoon with peaks of sunshine here and there and highs in the low to mid 70s. Get ready for more rain and storms tonight!

Not quite as cold as we head out the door this morning with clouds overhead keeping us in the upper 30s and low 40s. This is all ahead of a system that will move in throughout the day today and bring rain and stormy weather!

Getting out the door on this Wednesday morning with temperatures below freezing all across central MS. You certainly need some extra time to defrost the windshield before you get going! Things will warm up quickly once the sun comes up with mostly sunny skies remaining throughout the day. Highs this afternoon will reach into the low 60s area wide, and overnight tonight will not be nearly as cold.

Cold again this morning but many places are not quite at that freezing mark. We still have one more freezing/frosty morning ahead tomorrow before things take a turn at the end of the week. Today will be pleasant with calm winds and highs in the mid and upper 50s.

Get ready to bundle up as you head out the door over the next few days with temperatures at or below freezing in many places. Quite a few of you will need to sit with the defrost on before heading out for the morning commute. This afternoon will still be chilly with highs in the upper 40s and low 50s. Partly cloudy skies will be the story for us today.

A slightly warmer day is ahead for central MS, with highs in the low 60s and sunshine returning! Things will be nice and calm into the afternoon.

This Thanksgiving day will start off cold and stay a little chilly. The skies will be mostly cloudy, but mostly dry too! That is, rain chances are not introduced to the forecast until late this afternoon as a system creeps in from the south.

We are looking at a supremely fall-like forecast over the next 7 to 10 days, with highs in the mid and upper 50s and lows in the upper 30s to low 40s. Through the rest of this week, we will see a few peeks of sunshine, but mostly cloudy conditions with a little bit of rain here and there.

Although we will not see much rain into the morning commute, a different hazard will present itself in the form of fog. Visibility will be decreased in many areas, so prepare to take some extra time getting where you’re going - especially with those wet roads out there too!

Strong to severe storms in the mix for us this afternoon, with threats including damaging winds, tornadoes, and hail. This severe weather threat will last from 3PM to about 11PM. We will be done with it by the time you get ready to start the morning commute on Tuesday!

A weak front is expected to move through the area today bringing the chance for on and off showers and more cloudy conditions. This should clear out overnight, allowing us to head into Saturday with increasing sunshine!

A mostly dry day is ahead with mostly cloudy skies expected but the chance for a few more breaks in the clouds than what we have been seeing lately. A few places could still see a sprinkle or two throughout the day today and tomorrow. Despite clouds sticking around and the chance of more sprinkles, highs should reach near 70 across the area today and tomorrow.

Light showers will stick around on and off throughout the rest of the day today. A few sprinkles could even persist Thursday and Friday, but those days will not be overall gloomy like what we have been seeing.

This Tuesday will turn from gloomy to rainy with rain coverage building in from the south throughout the afternoon hours. Light to moderate rain is expected to continue through the overnight hours and parts of Wednesday.

Today will be mostly quiet, with light showers in our southern counties as the system bringing heavy rain tomorrow moves closer. Temperatures will warm from the mid and upper 50s to the mid and upper 60s through the afternoon.

Our rainy days have begun, so keep the jacket and the umbrella close by. Today will see light showers through the morning, with coverage tapering off as we get later into the day. Temperatures will be much cooler than they have been with highs in the upper 50s to mid-60s. Overnight tonight, temperatures will cool to the low and middle 50s. Tomorrow will bring highs just below seasonable, in the low to mid-60s, and more chances for rain.

Starting off our Thursday with more patchy to dense fog and very low visibility in our southern counties. This fog could once again creep as far north as the I-20 corridor, so be sure to get out the door a little earlier if it impacted you yesterday! One more mostly dry day ahead today, with plenty of clouds and temperatures warming to the upper 70s and low 80s. The rain will be here late today!

Today will be another warm day with breezy conditions and lots of sunshine. Highs this afternoon will reach into the low to mid 80s again, and we will only cool to the 60s overnight. Thursday afternoon will start to bring changes from the front we’ve been expecting with more clouds and increasing chances for showers.

Today through Thursday will continue to bring our highs up to the low to mid 80s. These temperatures are 10-15 degrees above average for this time of year! Mostly sunny skies will prevail, but you can expect winds to pick up tomorrow ahead of the impending cold front.

Temperatures will continue tracking well above average as we head into the next few days. Today’s highs will be in the low 80s across the area with some passing clouds in the picture.

Today will see highs in the low 70s with plentiful sunshine and calm conditions. The weekend looks to be sunny too with highs increasing to the mid 70s tomorrow and the upper 70s to low 80s by Sunday.

Temperatures will likely stay below freezing through about 9 AM for some areas. Despite this frigid start, temperatures this afternoon will be warmer than what we saw yesterday with highs expected to reach the mid 60s. Expect to continue seeing mostly sunny skies and a light breeze.

Out the door temperatures made it down to the low to mid 30s to start the day today, and we will only warm to the mid and upper 50s this afternoon. Gusty winds will stick around leaving us with red flag warnings across the area - simply meaning wildfire danger is a significant threat today and burning should not be attempted. Burn bans also remain in place across the area. Overnight lows tonight will be even colder and freeze warnings have been issued for our entire area. Make sure to protect those plants and pets!

I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s sprinkles, because we are back to no rain for the rest of the week. The good news is that lovely cool air will stick around with us through the end of the week. Or I suppose I should say “freezing air” because we are likely to see our first freeze tonight! Widespread low to mid 30s are expected as we head out the door tomorrow morning. Today will be chilly too, with highs in the mid and upper 50s across the area.

The anticipated cold front is moving through as we speak and bringing polar air that will have us feeling more like winter by Wednesday morning. Today, high temperatures will be reached early in the day, and we will be cooling off during typical peak heating time. Highs across the area will range from the low 50s to the upper 60s. A slim chance of rain will exist throughout the day today and into the overnight hours.

Our big weather change inches ever closer! However, today will follow suit with the rest of the week. Starting off in the low to mid 60s, with a few more clouds, and warming to the mid and upper 80s this afternoon. The clouds will stick around with us throughout the day and a few of you may see a little sprinkle here and there. Otherwise, dry and warm conditions remain through the weekend.

Today through the weekend expect to see more of the same warm and dry conditions. We will also continue to see breezy afternoons with plenty of sunshine. Friday may be an exception to the “dry” rule for some, with increased clouds from a system to the west and the chance of a few sprinkles especially along the Mississippi.

Another warm day on tap for the Magnolia State. Starting off with patchy fog and temperatures in the low to mid 60s. This afternoon will bring highs in the mid and upper 80s again (meaning 90s are certainly possible). Rain stays out of the picture for central and southern MS. Do expect to see breezy/gusty conditions today through Thursday night.

We are starting off Monday with temperatures in the upper 50s and low to mid 60s. We will gradually warm back to the upper 80s this afternoon. Calm winds and partly cloudy skies will also be in the picture.

Fall decided to take a break from the southeast, so temperatures will reach into the mid and even upper 80s today and tomorrow. We will also have gusty winds at times to end the work week. Tomorrow the winds will start to die down, but clouds will pick up. By Sunday it looks like we will be in the low to mid 80s, but still warmer than average. Clouds stick around into the end of the weekend.

Cloudy with a few showers possible as we head into Friday eve! A little warmer out this morning thanks to the clouds already building in. Highs this afternoon will be similar to yesterday.

Another chilly start this morning! Temperatures were in the mid and upper 40s getting out the door today and will warm to the mid and upper 70s this afternoon. We will again see plenty of sunshine on this Wednesday.

A little colder as we get out the door this morning, with temperatures in the upper 30s and low 40s! You won’t need the jacket by the afternoon, with highs expected to reach the low to mid 70s today. Sunny skies will stick around, and the winds will be calm.

A chilly start to the day across the Magnolia State! The clouds continued to break overnight, and we should see a nice, sunny day today with highs in the mid and upper 60s. Cool air from the north will continue to filter in throughout the day today, leaving things breezy at times and allowing us to cool to the upper 30s and low 40s overnight.

There is a chance for a little patchy fog as we head out the door this morning, then we should see clearing both on the ground and in the sky! Temperatures are starting off in the upper 50s to mid 60s today and will warm to the upper 70s to mid 80s in the afternoon. Clouds will build in again later tonight as a cold front approaches. This front could bring a few light showers during the overnight hours too as it passes.

A slightly cooler start to the day today behind yesterday’s rain. Clouds have stuck around and will continue to hang out with us throughout the day today. I won’t rule out a sprinkle or two for a few folks, but overall yesterday’s system was the most rain we expect to see over the next 7 days. Other changes are ahead though!

Tracking rain on this Wednesday morning! A system is moving into the southeast from the Gulf of Mexico and will continue to bring scattered showers throughout the day. We are starting off warmer this morning, with temperatures still in the 60s in most places. Despite a warmer start, this afternoon should bring highs in the 70s due to the passing rain and clouds. Overall, totals will not be much, especially north of HWY 84.

Another cool morning today, although not quite as chilly as what we saw yesterday. This afternoon should be slightly warmer as well, but clouds will be increasing throughout the afternoon capping our highs in the mid 80s

Things are warming back up as we head into the work week!We all enjoyed a little bit of fall weather this weekend, but temperatures are on the rise as we head into Monday afternoon. Expect to reach into the upper 70s to mid 80s for some across the area. We will continue to stay dry too with fire danger being a concern. Rinse and repeat for your Tuesday.
