JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Happy Friday! We are one step closer to the weekend!

Today holds fair weather conditions throughout our viewing area! We see Highs reaching into the upper 50s with Lows falling to the low 40s overnight going into our Saturday morning. Increased cloud cover will be the play during the afternoon and evening. Rain will begin for us later in the evening and then more rain chances with another front moving through the area.  Greater rain chances for us on Saturday.

Heavy rain is on the way for our weekend as another weak system impacts over the weekend! Highs look to stay in the low 50s for Saturday!

Saturday, we are looking at a 60 percent chance of showers throughout the viewing area as this next system moves through. We are expecting mostly cloudy skies on our Saturday with Highs reaching into the 50s and Lows overnight will fall to the upper 40s.

Sunday, some rain chances look to linger throughout the early morning. Partly sunny throughout the day on Sunday with Highs reaching into the middle 50s and Lows will fall to the middle 30s overnight going into Monday morning.

Going into the next workweek!

Monday is nice for the most part, with Highs reaching into the upper 50s and Lows falling into the low 40s. Monday will be mostly quiet and then we are watching another system to build out to our West.

For Tuesday, storms look to return as we see a 50 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms. Highs on Tuesday reach into the low 60s and Lows will hang into the low 40s on Wednesday. Overnight storms are possible going into Wednesday morning.

Wednesday and Thursday, Highs reaching into the low 50s and Lows falling into the middle 30s to upper 30s. Partly sunny conditions will be possible across the viewing area.
