Raymond woman charged following crash that killed mother and infant
JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - A Raymond woman is charged with two counts of aggravated DUI.
According to interim Sheriff Marshand Crisler, Beth Ann White, 51, was arrested on Monday afternoon.
Officials say White was driving the car that hit Allison Conaway and her children. That crash happening last Monday on Highway 18 near Springridge Road.
Hinds County deputies on the scene that night reported she appeared intoxicated.
She was arrested Monday at the hospital where she has been since the accident happened last week - miles away from the jail.
The Hinds County Sheriff’s Office worked with The Mississippi Highway Patrol to serve White an arrest warrant. WLBT was the first to uncover White’s long DUI history.

She was charged and convicted for two DUIs that were later appealed and dismissed, and she was also convicted of felony DUI, but never served a day in prison.
Crisler had this to say about the case and her criminal past:
“Again, we have to presume her innocence because it is a charge right now, but, until she gets her day in court, we will have to use words like ‘alleged.‘ But what is not alleged is her criminal history and her criminal history shows she has been reckless and dangerous to the public for years and it is unfortunate we stand here before you now dealing with another tragic accident, or incident, she was involved in. So, the judiciary and correction system will do their part to make sure she is held accountable but this day. Law enforcement has done their part.”
Two of Allison Conaway’s youngest girls are still in the hospital in critical condition.
