JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - A virtual COVID-19 community meeting will occur at Jackson State University Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

The forum is specifically for college students from all eight universities in the state and comes after a rise in unused COVID-19 vaccines in many states.

State Health Officer Dr. Thomas Dobbs and other medical experts will answer questions about the vaccine.

Organizers say the goal is to alleviate concerns and encourage students to get vaccinated.

While the meeting will be held on JSU’s campus, it will be broadcast at all Mississippi universities through Facebook Live.
