CARTHAGE, Miss. (WLBT) - A Piggly Wiggly location in Carthage, Mississippi has made the decision to shut their doors on Sundays.

In an April 20 post on Facebook, the speciality grocery store first wrote the verse Exodus 16:26, which reads, “Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the Sabbath, there shall be none.”

After this they revealed that beginning May 2, their store will be closed on Sunday “in an effort to allow employees and customers to have all day to spend worshiping God with their families and friends.”

They then state that though they are only one small business, they have “huge hopes for a great revival.”

“I pray that this will be a time used to rejoice in God’s great Love for us!” the post concluded, which was written by store owner Bob Pucklitsch.

Chick-fil-a is also famously closed on Sundays as well as the craft store Hobby Lobby, both of which are closed due to religious reasons.
