Clinton to enact delayed start plan Tuesday, citing potential road conditions

CLINTON, Miss. (WLBT) - Citing potential road conditions due to below-freezing weather, officials with the Clinton Public School District will be enacting its delayed opening start plan for January 12.

Clinton Park, Northside and Eastside Elementary Schools will begin at 9:25 a.m., Lovett and Clinton Junior High will begin at 9:50 a.m., and Sumner Hill and Clinton High will begin at 10 a.m., according to a district news release.

Bus routes will run two hours later than their normal times.

However, parents may drop off their children beginning at 7 a.m. and prior to the delayed start. Faculty and staff members will be present at all campuses.
