STARKVILLE, Miss. (WLBT) - Mississippi State’s top defensive player is headed to the NFL.
Linebacker Erroll Thompson announced he will enter the NFL Draft after five years in Starkville.
Thompson emerged as a star for the Bulldogs defense since earning a starting role as a Freshman.
“I was blessed to be surrounded by many great people that helped me reach this point and am grateful for each of you,” he wrote.
He nearly left early for the draft before deciding to stay in Starkville for the 2020 season, after the hiring of head coach Mike Leach.
