Wednesday Night Weather Forecast

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Today‚Äôs high reached 72 after a morning low of 41 degrees.  The average high this time of year is 67 and the average low is 43.  Sunny skies will continue for the rest of this week into the first part of the weekend.  A few showers are possible Sunday, with better chances for rain next week.  In fact, we have a chance for rain almost daily with an inch or two of rain on the way.  This rain is definitely welcome since we are running about 3 inches below normal for the month so far.  Highs will be in the 70s this week and upper 60s and lower 70s next week, including Thanksgiving Day.  The tropics are relatively quiet with just a slight chance for development, but nothing even remotely close to us.  Severe weather is also unlikely next week with any of the weather systems, but thunderstorms are likely.  Sunrise is 6:34am and the sunset is 4:58pm.
