JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - A Special runoff election was held Tuesday for Mississippi Senate seat for District 39.
Lawrence County 24 of 24 Precincts reporting:
- Jason Barrett 1,673 votes
- Bill Sones 283 votes
Copiah County 4 of 4 Precincts reporting:
- Jason Barrett 277 votes
- Bill Sones 158 votes
Lincoln County 30 of 30 Precincts reporting:
- Jason Barrett 2,659 votes
- Bill Sones 3,148 votes
Walthall County all precincts reporting:
- Jason Barrett 265 votes
- Bill Sones 104 votes
Barrett takes 57 percent of the vote to defeat Sones.
