HINDS CO., Miss. (WLBT) - The Hinds County Board of Supervisors announced several changes to their ongoing response to COVID-19 during a press conference on Friday.
The Board of Supervisors said that Hinds County workers will return to work on Tuesday, May 26. They also revealed that all Hinds County residents will receive K95 masks by next week.
The supervisors said that all employees will return to work on Tuesday under certain precautions and they will be required to wear masks throughout the day. Plexiglass has also been installed in county buildings to ensure safety between city workers and visitors.
They stressed that every person that enters a county building must wear a mask.
The supervisors stated they are following the guidelines and recommendations set in place by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Mississippi Department of Health.
They also said that K95 masks will be distributed to all Hinds County residents by next week. A specific date was not given, but citizens are advised to wait for guidance from local officials in their city.
