JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Jackson native Mo Williams is the new head coach at Alabama State.

Williams, a longtime NBA star, got his start at Murrah High School in Jackson.

He played in an All-Star Game and won a championship in his 14-year NBA career before moving on to coaching.

Williams spent the last two years as an assistant coach for Cal State Northridge.
