Hunter finds human remains in Simpson Co. woods

SIMPSON COUNTY, Miss. (WLBT) - A hunter found human remains in the St. John Road area of Simpson County on Thursday.
Simpson County Sheriff Paul Mullins said a skull and other limbs were found in a thick wooded area.
The remains were taken back to the state crime lab for tests.
It’s unclear who the person was or how they died.
Local authorities are checking with others in the area to see if the remains may match any missing person cases.
