JPD: Man dies after accidentally shooting himself on Lindsey Dr.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - The Jackson Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting as an accident after a man shot himself.

It happened early Friday afternoon in the 300 block of Lindsey Drive.

A man was getting out of his car when he accidentally discharged his handgun, shooting and critically injuring himself.

He later died from his injuries.

#JPD is investigating a shooting that occurred just before 10:30 am in the 300 block of Lindsey Dr. A male was exiting a vehicle when he accidentally discharged a handgun, wounding himself. Victim succumbed to injuries at the scene.
