JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - A man died in the custody of the Jackson Police Department over the weekend, Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart confirmed.
Stewart said medics responded to the scene after police were called for a disorderly individual who was foaming from the mouth.
He was handcuffed when he became unresponsive.
Grisham Stewart said the death could have been drug related.
So far the man’s name has not been released, nor have any further details as to where it happened.
The Jackson Police Department has not responded to texts and calls seeking comment.
