Driver pulled from car in flooded creek on I-20 dies at hospital

CLINTON, Miss. (WLBT) - A vehicle flipped off I-20 into a ravine full of water in Clinton at Norrell Road Monday morning.

According to Clinton PIO Mark Jones, the crash happened at 8:15 a.m.

The driver was pulled out by the fire department and had to be resuscitated and transported to a local hospital.

She passed away from her injuries on Tuesday afternoon at UMMC.

Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart identified her as 50-year-old Tammy Harris.

MHP and Clinton police responded to the crash.
