Two charged in Canton voter fraud case enter Pre-Trial Diversion Program

Cary Johnson and Jennifer Robinson have one year to complete the program.

CANTON, Miss. (WLBT) - Two of the people charged in the Canton voter fraud investigation will enter a Pre-Trial Diversion Program.

Cary Johnson, a former Canton Fire Chief who was indicted on a voter fraud charge, will have one year to complete the program and not have a felony conviction.

Jennifer Robinson will also enter the Pre-Trial Diversion Program. She was indicted on charges of voter fraud and voting by unqualified person.

Vicki McNeil has a hearing next Tuesday on her motion to continue her voter fraud case. She has cited illness in asking the judge for the continuance.

Courtney Rainey, Andrew Grant, Valerie Smith and Donnell Robinson are set for court dates in mid-June.
