JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - We're starting off the work week on a very warm and muggy note! Dewpoints are in the upper 60s, so expect a summer-like feel heading out the door. Outside of some patchy fog, an easy going commute is anticipated this morning with only a few showers possible for the evening drive home. Temperatures will reach the upper 80s this afternoon.
Although a few showers/storms are possible in the next few days, an impressive ridge of high pressure will keep us mostly dry and hot through the 7-day forecast... especially for Memorial Day Weekend! Expect highs near 90 throughout the work week, with temperatures lifting into the low-mid 90s Saturday-Monday! With dewpoints remaining high throughout this time period, feels-like temperatures could even try to get into the upper 90s. Make sure to stay hydrated during this time frame as the hottest conditions so far this year are expected at the end of the week.
