JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Strong to severe storms continue to push across the state, producing heavy rain along with the potential for damaging straight line wind. The severe threat is limited, but we can’t rule out the possibility for a few strong storms. A tornado watch continues until 10 a.m. for South Mississippi. Rain decreases in coverage throughout the morning followed by lingering hit-and-miss storms this afternoon and once again, a few strong storm are possible. The heat and humidity crank up next week as highs soar to near 90. Summer is just around the corner and it will certainly feel like it over the coming days.
