Vickie McNeil appears in court in the Canton Voter Fraud case

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Vickie McNeil, Canton’s former police chief, appeared in court Monday for a hearing in the voter fraud case.

McNeil was indicted in December on charges. She represents Ward 5 on Canton’s Board of Aldermen. McNeil is asking Judge John Emfinger for a continuance in her trial, citing her health. Her trial was scheduled to begin in a few weeks ago according to the Madison County District Attorney’s office.

McNeil faces two indictments on four counts of voter fraud. She will be back in court May 28th for the judge’s decision on granting a continuance.
