Prominent Jackson attorney William “Bill” Kirksey dies at 67

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A prominent Jackson attorney who often appeared on WLBT has died.
Bill Kirksey had been a criminal defense lawyer in Jackson for more than 40 years when he died on Saturday, surrounded by his family.
He was involved in a number of high-profile cases over the years -- and at one time taught law students at Mississippi College.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Tuesday and 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. Wednesday. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wright and Ferguson in Flowood.
Kirskey was married to his wife, Beverly, for 39 years and had two grown children.
He was 67 years old.
