CLINTON, MS (WLBT) - New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees was the keynote speaker at Mississippi College’s 2019 Scholarship Banquet.
Brees spoke to the media beforehand and he answered questions about the NFL Draft, the infamous Nola No-Call, and reflected on the days when the Saints trained in Jackson.
Brees also mentioned why he felt it was important for him to be in Clinton today.
“Playing for the New Orleans Saints, you don’t feel like you’re just playing for the city of New Orleans. You feel like you have the whole Southeast," Brees said. "The whole Gulf Coast claims you, and you claim them. This area of the country is very important to us.”
