BROOKHAVEN, MS (WLBT) - The Brookhaven Police Department arrested three women and are searching for three more after seeing a “disturbing video” of women fighting at an apartment complex.
Police responded to a disturbance call in Cloverdale Monday night. When officers arrived, they spoke with residents who told them there had been no fighting.
Later that night, police saw a disturbing video of a fight that had taken place at the Cloverdale apartments.
Police identified and arrested three women: Jasmine Maxwell, Tereshia McNair, and Traneshia McNair
Brookhaven Police Chief Kenneth Collins said the department is actively seeking the whereabouts of three other women who were also identified in the video. Their names are Latava McNair, Rosetta Maxwell, and Jacinda Parker.
Chief Collins stated that these women may either turn themselves in to the Brookhaven Police or they will seek arrest warrants for them.
He stated, “We are dealing with the same type of nonsense in the Brignall area, around Ellis and Amite Roads, where adults are becoming involved in kids’ altercations, escalating the situation. Any adult that allows kids to sit in their yard and stage up for altercations between other kids or take part in those same altercations will face charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, disturbing the peace or disorderly conduct. My officers will ask you to clear the area a few times. After that, you will be arrested. I have seen too many deaths and too many senseless acts of violence to allow this to continue in our city. We will, to the best of our ability, try to keep everyone safe, because at this point, there is no more talking to these individuals. Actions speak louder than words.”
