NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Saints closed out their 2019 with seventh round picks: Notre Dame tight end Alize’ Mack and Idaho linebacker Kaden Elliss.
At 231, the Saints chose Mack, who finished his senior season with 36 receptions, 360 yards and three touchdowns. When he came out of high school in 2015, Mack was the top rated tight end in the country. Mack is viewed as an athletic tight end that will compete at the position.
At 244, the Saints chose Ellis who finished last season with seven sacks and 16 tackles for loss. He had ten tackles in a game against Florida. His dad, Luther Ellis, was a Pro Bowl defensive tackle in the NFL.
