JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - I’m Chip Miskelly with Unite Mississippi. In 1975 Billy Graham came to Jackson and preached at Veterans Memorial Stadium. I was so blessed to be there. It impacted my life in a powerful way. He also came here in 1952 and took a stand against the racial barriers that divided whites and blacks.
In that same spirit of coming together, this Saturday at 6 p.m. Unite Mississippi is hosting a night of unity at Veterans Memorial Stadium. All races. All denominations. Everyone is invited to come together and unite under the banner of the Cross.
There will be powerful messages by Tony Evans, Chip Henderson and Demario Davis of the New Orleans Saints. Entertainment will include Israel and the Mississippi Mass Choir. To reach as many people as possible, the event will be live streamed to all the prisons in Mississippi and carried on the CBN network as well.
Let’s start a movement right here in Jackson that will spread around the country. It’s a free ticketed event. Go to unitemississippi.com to volunteer and learn more.
I hope you will come out Saturday at 6 p.m. and I hope it impacts you in a powerful way.
