Oregon held McCowan to just 5 points in December, but T says things will be different Sunday

PORTLAND, OR (WLBT) - The Mississippi State women are back in the Elite Eight for the third straight season. It will be a 1-2 matchup in the NCAA Portland Regional Finals Sunday with MSU and Oregon, and it’s the rematch so many were rooting for. The Bulldogs have only lost two games all season, one of those losses was to the Ducks back in December.

Oregon held Teaira McCowan to just five points in their last meeting, which is shocking considering T got her 30th double-double of the Friday night against Arizona State.

But MSU is quick to remind everyone that so much has changed since that last game against the Ducks. T said that if she could pin-point the one thing she has personally changed the most since that game, it all comes down to her attitude on the court.

“Just not giving in to whether it’s a bad call or it’s just them pushing me under or undercutting me,” T said. “I just know I have to be that good for my teammates as well as my coaching staff.”

Tip-off for the NCAA Portland Regional final is set for 1:00 central time on Sunday at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.
