Deadline change for guilty pleas in Canton Voter Fraud case

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) -New developments in the Canton Voter Fraud Case. More time is granted for four of the nine people facing charges to make a decision on whether to plead guilty.

They had a deadline of five Friday evening if they wanted to plead guilty. But now Courtney Rainey, Andrew Grant, Valerie Smith and Donnell Robinson have until June 17th.

If they plead not guilty they will go to trial in July. They were in court Monday for a hearing when they were given Friday's deadline.

Five others charged in the voter fraud case are scheduled for court in May.
