JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Jackson police are investigating a deadly wreck that left a 29-year-old man dead around 5 p.m. Saturday afternoon. The victim has been identified as Walter Lee Tabb, Jr.
Tabb was killed on Highway 80W near Morson Road when another’s vehicle veered into the oncoming lane, colliding into his small SUV. A male passenger was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The second driver, 44-year-old Latisha Stamps, was transported with potentially life threatening injuries. She remains hospitalized and is listed in serious but stable condition.
Tabb was employed with Jackson Public Schools and served as a teacher for Provine, Forest Hill and Callaway.
JPS extended their condolences saying, “Please keep his family, co-workers, and friends in your thoughts and prayers.”
She said he was also an administrator for the Central Office of the Jackson Public School District
