JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Saturday morning’s storms have caused nearly 1,500 Southern Pine customers in Simpson County to go without power.

According to Leif Munkel, Southern Pine District Office Supervisor, the cause of the outage is largely due to a fallen tree which brought down a double circuit in the Pinola area.
