STARKVILLE, MS (WLBT) - Mississippi State announced Friday sophomore forward Chloe Bibby is out for the season, a day after suffering a left knee injury in the early moments of the Bulldogs' win over South Carolina.
“Chloe has worked so hard to be where she is today,” head coach Vic Schaefer said after the game. “My heart is broken for her. If I know Chloe, she will come back bigger, faster and stronger than ever before and will be tireless in her pursuit of excellence.”
Bibby, a native of Australia, has appeared in all 18 games for the Bulldogs so far this season. She’s the team’s fourth-leading scorer at 11.9 points per game. She’s also fourth in rebounding at 4.1 rebounds per game. Bibby is also the team’s most consistent threat from 3-point range, connecting on 36 3-pointers this season. That’s over a third of the team’s total makes from three (96).
