ORLANDO, FL (WLBT) - Thursday night’s Under Armour All-America Game was just another platform for Jackson Prep senior Jerrion Ealy to showcase his skills on a national stage.
Ealy scored two touchdowns, set the All-America Game rushing record with 119 yards, and earned Team MVP honors playing against some of the best high school players in the country.
Ealy also played in the Under Armour All-America baseball game this summer at Wrigley Field, famed home of the Chicago Cubs. 247 sports rates him as a 4-star football recruit, the 45th best high school recruit in the country, the nation’s #4 running back recruit, and the #2 prospect in Mississippi.
But Ealy is just as coveted on the diamond, projected to possibly be a first round draft choice in the Major League Draft this upcoming June. Ealy is committed to Ole Miss to play both football and baseball, but chose not to sign his letter of intent during December’s early signing period.
Three other Jackson-area players played in the Under Armour All-America Game Thursday night: Brandon’s Jonathan Mingo, Northwest Rankin’s Jarrian Jones, and Provine’s De’Monte Russell.
