JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Jackson State bounced back at home following a 41-7 loss at Southern and they did so under the guidance of Interim Head Coach John Hendrick.
The Tigers had a 24-0 lead at one point in the second quarter and went on to beat conference foe Prairieview A&M 34-28.
After the game, JSU senior quarterback Jarrad Hayes said the team is still playing for former Head Coach, Tony Hughes.
“We had to come together for coach Hughes,” Hayes said. “We have to keep his memory alive.”
