JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Orlando Coleman, a 31-year-old black man, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, after a shooting in his home on McCluer Road, according to Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham-Stewart.
JPD Sgt. Roderick Holmes said it happened just after 8:30 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found Coleman suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper body.
Coleman died at the scene a short time later.
Investigators learned that a fight took place inside the home before the gunfire began.
Witnesses saw someone run from the home and get into a vehicle, the same vehicle which was believed to have brought the gunman to the scene.
Neither the gunman nor the driver have been identified at this point.
