The bronze cast of the bulldog was painted red and the phrase “woo pig” and the date 11/17 were painted on the white base.

“Woo Pig Sooie” is the University of Arkansas' hog call and Mississippi State plays the Razorbacks on November 11.

The statue, of former MSU mascot TaTonka, was placed in the Junction by the university in 2008
