JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - After defeating the same bill Monday night, the Mississippi House narrowly passed the lottery bill.
58 representatives voted for it, while 54 representatives voted against the bill.
It will now go to the Governor's desk.
This vote comes after the House killed the bill Monday night. It was held on a motion to reconsider which gave supporters a chance to revive it and send it to Republican Gov. Phil Bryant.
Mississippi is one of six states without a lottery.
