he Atlanta Braves have made the following roster moves affecting the M-Braves roster before tonight's series finale at Chattanooga. LHP Kyle Muller has been promoted to Mississippi from High-A Florida and RHP Connor Johnstone has been transferred to Florida from Mississippi. Muller will wear jersey #8 and start tonight for the M-Braves against the Lookouts.
Muller, 20, is ranked as the No. 11 overall prospect for the Atlanta Braves and in 20 starts this season is 7-2 with a 3.01 ERA (37 ER/110.2 IP) between Low-A Rome and High-A Florida with 40 walks and 102 strikeouts. Muller was promoted to Florida on May 8 after starting the season 3-0 with a 2.40 ERA (8 ER/30.0 IP), eight walks and 23 strikeouts in six starts for Rome. Since then, Muller is 4-2 with a 3.24 ERA (29 ER/80.2 IP), 32 walks, 79 strikeouts in 14 starts for Florida.
Muller was selected by the Braves in the second round (44th overall) of the 2016 draft out of Jesuit College (TX) Prep. Muller resides in Dallas, TX.
Johnstone, 23, has appeared in seven games, making two starts for the M-Braves this season posting no record and a 3.12 ERA (6 ER/17.1), eight walks and 12 strikeouts. The Roswell, GA native has appeared at three levels of the Atlanta Braves system this season, going 1-2 with a 3.24 ERA (21 ER/58.1 IP), 21 walks, 51 strikeouts and two saves for Florida, Mississippi, and Gwinnett.
The Mississippi Braves roster currently stands at 23 active players and four on the disabled list.
