ROSS BARNETT RESERVOIR, MS (WLBT) -

A 65-year-old man died after he had a medical emergency at the Reservoir. Rankin County Coroner David Ruth identifies him as Nathaniel Tolliver, Jr. of Jackson and says he died from natural causes.

Just before 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Reservoir police got a call about a 65-year-old man unconscious in a submerged vehicle at Sunset Marina near Highway 43 in Brandon.

According to Reservoir Police Chief Perry Waggoner, the Rankin County Sheriff's Office, Lake Harbor fire, The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks, along with Reservoir police responded to the scene.

Pafford administered CPR and took him to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The man was in the process of launching a boat when witnesses reported he appeared to be having some sort of medical condition and the truck continued into the water.
