Ryan Rolison will be the starting pitcher for Ole Miss on Friday. Rolison has an ERA of 3.79.
His last appearance was in the SEC Championship game against LSU where he had three strikeouts, allowed zero runs, no hits and one walk.
As a sophomore, this is Rolison's first time pitching in an NCAA Regional.
"Nothing really changes. My objective is going to be the same," Rolison said following the Rebels final day of practice before facing St. Louis. "I'm going to try to find all three of my pitches early and establish the inside part of the plate, and then from there just compete and fill up the zone and let my defense work behind me."
This is the eighth time in program history that Swayze Field will play host to an NCAA Regional, all eight have come during Bianco's tenure.
"It's baseball city," Coach Mike Bianco said when asked what it means for the city of Oxford to host a Regional. "People really enjoy the games and of course it's a great atmosphere here. Anytime you can play post season here I think it's a treat for everybody."
#1 Ole Miss faces #4 St. Louis Friday at 6:30 PM.
